Anti-roll bar link for C3 II Box Body / Hatchback (SC) Diesel (68 hp)

Replacement: anti roll bar links – CITROËN C3 II Kasten / Schrägheck (SC). Tools you'll need:

                        Wire brush
                      
                        WD-40 spray
                      
                        Copper grease 
                      
                        Drive socket # 16 
                      
                        Wheel impact socket #17
                      
                        Torque wrench
                      
                        Wheel chock

AUTODOC recommends:

Replace the stabiliser links on CITROËN C3 II Kasten / Schrägheck (SC) in pairs.
The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: anti roll bar links – CITROËN C3 II Kasten / Schrägheck (SC). Use the following procedure:

Step 1

Secure the wheels with chocks.
Step 2

Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 3

Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.

Step 4

Unscrew the wheel bolts.

AUTODOC recommends:
Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. CITROËN C3 II Kasten / Schrägheck (SC)
Step 5

Remove the wheel.
Step 6.1

Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush.

Step 6.2

Use WD-40 spray.
Step 7

Unscrew the fasteners connecting the stabiliser link to the stabiliser bar. Use a drive socket #16.
Step 8

Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the shock strut. Use a drive socket #16.
Step 9

Remove the stabilizer rod.

Replacement: anti roll bar links – CITROËN C3 II Kasten / Schrägheck (SC). Tip from AUTODOC experts:
Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed.
Step 10

Install a new rod, tighten the fasteners.
Step 11

Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a drive socket #16. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 43 Nm torque.
Step 12

Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the shock strut. Use a drive socket #16. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 43 Nm torque.
Step 13.1

Treat all joints of the stabiliser link.

Step 13.2

Use copper grease.
Step 14

Clean the wheel rim mounting seat. Use a wire brush. Treat the contacting surface. Use copper grease.
Step 15

Install the wheel.

AUTODOC recommends:
Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while screwing in the fastening bolts on the car. CITROËN C3 II Kasten / Schrägheck (SC)
Step 16

Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 17

Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 100 Nm torque.
Step 18

Remove the jacks and chocks.
