Replacement: engine oil and filter – ALFA ROMEO 145 (930). AUTODOC experts recommend:
- Replace the oil filter every time when changing motor oil.
- Wear gloves to prevent contact with hot liquid.
- Please note: all work on the car – ALFA ROMEO 145 (930) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the hood.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Unscrew the oil filler plug.
- Step 4Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.Replacement: engine oil and filter – ALFA ROMEO 145 (930). AUTODOC experts recommend:The vehicle must be on even keel, and if it is at an angle, the drain plug must be at the lowest point.All works should be done with the engine cooled down.Step 5Put a waste oil container with at least 5 l capacity under the drainage hole.
- Step 6Clean the area of the oil pan drainage hole. Use a wire brush. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 7Unscrew the drain plug. Use Torx T50. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 8Drain the used oil.Replacement: engine oil and filter – ALFA ROMEO 145 (930). Tip:Caution! The oil may be hot.
- Step 9Clean the oil filter. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 10Unscrew the oil filter. Use the 76-12F socket. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 11Remove the oil filter.Replacement: engine oil and filter – ALFA ROMEO 145 (930). Tip from AUTODOC:Move up the container. The oil starts to drain out of the drainage hole immediately after you have removed the oil filter.
- Step 12Clean the oil filter seat. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 13Lubricate the rubber seal of the new filter with a little amount of fresh oil.
- Step 14Install a new oil filter.
- Step 15Tighten the oil filter. Remember to observe the recommended tightening torque. Use the 76-12F socket. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 18 Nm torque.AUTODOC recommends:Wait until the oil has completely drained from the drainage hole.
- Step 16Clean the area of the oil pan drainage hole.
- Step 17Screw in the new drainage plug and tighten it. Use Torx T50. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 20 nm torque.
