                        Wire brush
                      
                        WD-40 spray
                      
                        All-purpose cleaning spray
                      
                        Brake cleaner 
                      
                        Multipurpose grease
                      
                        Copper grease 
                      
                        HEX bit no.H5.
                      
                        Wheel impact socket #17
                      
                        Ratchet wrench
                      
                        Torque wrench
                      
                        Flat Screwdriver
                      
                        Round-nose pliers
                      
                        Wheel chock

Replacement: abs sensor – BMW E82. Professionals recommend:

The replacement procedure is identical for both ABS sensors on the same axle.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: abs sensor – BMW E82. Take the following steps:

Step 1

Secure the wheels with chocks.
Step 2

Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 3

Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.
Step 4

Unscrew the wheel bolts.

AUTODOC recommends:
Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. BMW E82
Step 5

Remove the wheel.
Step 6

Disconnect the ABS sensor wiring.
Step 7

Detach the ABS sensor connector.
Step 8

Disconnect the ABS sensor wiring.
Step 9

Clean the ABS sensor fastener. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 10

Unscrew the ABS sensor fastening from the steering knuckle. Use HEX No.H5. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 11

Remove the ABS sensor from the steering knuckle. Use round-nose pliers.
Step 12

Clean the ABS sensor mounting seat. Use a wire brush. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 13

Treat the ABS sensor fastener. Use a multipurpose grease. Use a flat screwdriver.
Step 14

Install the ABS sensor on the steering knuckle and secure it.
Step 15

Tighten the fastener that connects the ABS sensor to the steering knuckle. Use HEX No.H5. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 13 Nm torque.
Step 16

Connect the ABS sensor wiring.
Step 17

Attach the ABS sensor connector.
Step 18

Connect the ABS sensor wiring.
Step 19

Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim. Use copper grease.
Step 20

Clean the brake disk surface. Use a brake cleaner.

Replacement: abs sensor – BMW E82. AUTODOC recommends:
After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.
Step 21

Install the wheel.

AUTODOC recommends:
Important! Hold the wheel while screwing in the fastening bolts. BMW E82
Step 22

Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 23

Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 120 nm torque.
Step 24

Remove the jacks and chocks.
