Replacement: air filter – FORD FIESTA Saloon JAS JBS. AUTODOC recommends:
Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the part operation provided by the manufacturer.
Warning! Shut down the engine before starting any work – FORD FIESTA Saloon JAS JBS.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
Step 1
Open the bonnet.
Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Disconnect the air intake pipe from the air filter housing.
Step 4
Detach the air intake hose clamp. Use clic-R collar pliers.
Step 5
Remove the air intake pipe.
Step 6
Unscrew the filter housing fastening bolts. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 7
Detach the crankcase ventilation hose from the engine cover at the left.
Step 8
Remove the air filter housing.
Please note!
The air filter housing is integrated into the engine cover.
Step 9
Cover the air intake hose with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the system.
Step 10
Undo the fastening screws of the air filter cover. Use Torx T27. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 11
Take off the filter lid.
Step 12
Remove the filter element from the filter housing.
Step 13
Clean the air filter cover and housing.
Replacement: air filter – FORD FIESTA Saloon JAS JBS. Tip from AUTODOC:
Before cleaning the air filter cover and housing, cover the air duct parts, mass airflow sensor (if available), throttle valve with a clean cloth.
Step 14
Insert a new filter element into the filter housing. Make sure that the filter edge fits tight to the housing.

Step 15
Reinstall the air filter cover. Fasten it.
Step 16
Screw in the fastening screws of the air filter cover. Use Torx T27. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 17
Reinstall the air filter housing.
Step 18
Screw the filter housing fastening bolts. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 19
Attach the crankcase ventilation hose to the engine cover at the left.
Step 20
Remove the microfibre towel from the air intake hose.
Step 21
Install the air intake pipe and secure it.
Step 22
Fasten the clamp on the air intake hose. Use clic-R collar pliers.
Step 23
Connect the air intake pipe to the air filter housing.
Step 24
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 25
Close the hood.
