Replacement: air filter – FORD ECOSPORT. Tools you need:

                      Drive socket # 10
                    
                      Ratchet wrench
                    
                      Microfibre towel
                    
                      Fender cover

Replacement: air filter – FORD ECOSPORT. AUTODOC experts recommend:

Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the part operation provided by the manufacturer.
Please note: all work on the car – FORD ECOSPORT – should be done with the engine switched off.

Carry out replacement in the following order:

Step 1

Open the bonnet.

Step 2

Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.

Step 3

Undo the fastening screws of the air filter cover. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 4

Take off the filter lid.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: air filter – FORD ECOSPORT. Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.
Step 5

Remove the filter element from the filter housing.
Step 6

Cover the air intake hose with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the system.
Step 7

Clean the air filter cover and housing.

Replacement: air filter – FORD ECOSPORT. Tip:
Before cleaning the air filter cover and housing, cover the air duct parts, mass airflow sensor (if available), throttle valve with a clean cloth.
Step 8

Remove the microfibre towel from the air intake hose.
Step 9

Insert a new filter element into the filter housing. Make sure that the filter edge fits tight to the housing.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: air filter – FORD ECOSPORT. Be sure to position the filtering element correctly. Avoid misalignment.Take care to only use quality filters.During installation, make sure to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the air filter housing.
Step 10

Reinstall the air filter cover. Fasten it.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: air filter – FORD ECOSPORT. Do not use excessive force during installation. This may damage the fasteners.
Step 11

Screw in the fastening screws of the air filter cover. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench.

Step 12

Remove the fender protection cover.

Step 13

Close the hood.
