ABS sensor
ABS sensor ring
A wire brush
WD-40 spray
An all-purpose cleaning spray
Ceramic grease
An electronic spray
A torque wrench
An 8 mm socket
A 21 mm wheel impact socket
A ratchet wrench
A tommy bar
A plastic trim removal tool
A clip removal tool
A fender cover
Wheel chocks
Replacement: ABS sensor – FORD TRANSIT TOURNEO. AUTODOC recommends:
- All the work should be carried out with the ignition switched off.
Replacement: ABS sensor – FORD TRANSIT TOURNEO. Use the following procedure:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to avoid damaging the paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3
Secure the wheels with chocks. - Step 4
Loosen the wheel nuts. Use a 21 mm wheel impact socket. Use a tommy bar. - Step 5Raise the car.Warning!If you are using a jack, make sure the car is parked on a flat, even surface.Make sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands.Step 6
Unscrew the wheel nuts.Caution!Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. FORD TRANSIT TOURNEO - Step 7
Remove the wheel. - Step 8
Detach the ABS sensor connector. - Step 9
Detach the ABS sensor wiring. Use a plastic trim removal tool. Use a clip removal tool. - Step 10
Clean the ABS sensor fastener. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 11
Unscrew the ABS sensor fastener. Use an 8 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 12
Remove the fastening bolt. - Step 13
Remove the ABS sensor. - Step 14
Clean the mounting seat of the ABS sensor. Use a wire brush. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 15
Install a new ABS sensor.Replacement: ABS sensor – FORD TRANSIT TOURNEO. Tip:To prevent the sensor from sticking, apply some grease to its mounting seat before installing it. - Step 16
Install the fastening bolt.
