RIDEX Tailgate Struts reviews

I bought both the right and left struts, delivery took only 3 days and they arrived together (one has the inner bit black and the other metal, which I don't mind). They fit perfectly and can hold the boot door (finally!) Despite not having instructions, we managed to dismantle the inside of the door ourselves to access the screws, and saved an important amount of money :) Fast replies from customer service too, thanks.

Fits my K11 Micra 1.3i. Easy to install. Pull out old strutt and click into place new one, that's it. They are sold singly, so make sure you order two if you want the pair. didnt realise, and so I'm ordering my second now, meaning I'm paying postage and packing twice

They will do the job but the “spring” clips on the mount are not so good quality and they keep unattached while opening the tailgate. After a while the clips broke and I had to change the mountings.

Good quality however too strong when opening. No of instructions on how to get it gentler but firm. Double check if the newton meter force before buying as there are other ones softer.

High quality part, simple fitment, bringing new life to opening the boot again. And squeak free too. Ridex becoming my go to replacements 👍

I need the struts as the hydraulic is not working any more, and I have purchased online from Autodoc other times, and was always satisfied.

The website gave the Original Equipment Number which checked with the part on the car that needed replacing and the price was good

Good quality and alternator tensioner is the original brand use in my car very good on price as well would recommend to everyone

Great replacement for the original tailgate struts on my 2002 T4 barn door. Has held up for 9 months now, no change in stiffness.

My 4 door Opel Astra (imported new) happens to have a spoiler so I have bought the strut type with more force.
