The procedure for replacing the right- and left-side wing mirror covers is the same.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.

Replacement: wing mirror cover – FORD B-MAX (JK). Use the following procedure:

Step 1

Tilt the mirror glass out of the housing. Use a plastic trim tool.
Step 2

Carefully release the mirror glass from its attachment. Use a plastic trim tool.
Step 3

Remove the mirror glass.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: wing mirror cover – FORD B-MAX (JK). Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.
Step 4

Detach the mirror heating connectors.
Step 5

Pry the wing mirror cover clips out of position. Use a plastic trim tool (2 pieces).

Replacement: wing mirror cover – FORD B-MAX (JK). AUTODOC recommends:
Do not apply excessive force when removing the part. Otherwise you may damage it.
Step 6

Remove the wing mirror cover.
Step 7

Install the new wing mirror cover.
Step 8

Push the wing mirror cover firmly until it clicks.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: wing mirror cover – FORD B-MAX (JK). Do not use excessive force during installation. This may damage the part.
Step 9

Attach the mirror heating connectors.
Step 10

Fit the mirror glass into position. Make sure you hear a click indicating that it is locked in place.

Replacement: wing mirror cover – FORD B-MAX (JK). Professionals recommend:
Do not apply excessive force when installing the part. Otherwise you may damage the fasteners.Make sure the mirror glass is positioned correctly. It should be aligned with the locking tabs on the housing.
Step 11

Clean the mirror glass.
