Replacement: spark plugs – MERCEDES-BENZ CLK (C209). Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1Open the hood.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3
Remove the spark plug wire connectors from the spark plug wells. Use round-nose pliers.Replacement: spark plugs – MERCEDES-BENZ CLK (C209). Professionals recommend:Be careful to avoid damaging spark plug wires.Remember the sequence of the spark plug wires connectors. - Step 4
Clean dirt, dust and debris from inside the spark plug wells. - Step 5
Unscrew the spark plugs. Use the spark plug socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 6
Take out the spark plugs. - Step 7
Apply a thin layer of a special high temperature anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the new spark plugs. - Step 8
Install the new spark plugs into their mounting seats.

- @user_112936312.02.2024 15:17MemberThis is NOT the procedure for a 2004 CLK 200 Kompressor. The spark plugs are situated under the top cover on the engine and require the use of an E8 socket to remove the plug caps.
