Replacement: serpentine belt – RENAULT MASTER II Platform/Chassis (ED/HD/UD). AUTODOC experts recommend:
- All the work should be carried out with the ignition switched off.
Carry out the replacement steps as follows:
- Step 1
Secure the wheels with chocks. - Step 2
Loosen the wheel fasteners. Use a 24 mm wheel impact socket. Use a tommy bar. - Step 3Raise the vehicle.Warning!If you are using a jack, make sure the car is parked on a hard, flat surface.Make sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands.Step 4
Unscrew the wheel fasteners.Replacement: serpentine belt – RENAULT MASTER II Platform/Chassis (ED/HD/UD). Tip:To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the fasteners. - Step 5
Remove the wheel. - Step 6
Move the belt tensioner pulley away from the V-ribbed belt. Use a 13 mm combination spanner. - Step 7
Secure the tensioner pulley in this position. Use a pin punch. - Step 8
Remove the V-ribbed belt. - Step 9
Clean the tensioner fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 10
Clean the idler pulley fastener. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 11
Unscrew the idler pulley fastener. Use a 13 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench. Use a U-joint socket extension. - Step 12
Remove the fastening bolt. - Step 13
Remove the idler pulley. - Step 14
Unscrew the tensioner fasteners. Use a 13 mm socket. Use a ratchet wrench. Use a U-joint socket extension. - Step 15
Remove the fastening bolts. - Step 16
Remove the tensioner. - Step 17
Clean the tensioner mounting seats. Use a wire brush. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 18
Install a new tensioner. - Step 19
Install the fastening bolts.
