Replacement: wheel bearing – TOYOTA AVENSIS Estate (T25). AUTODOC recommends:
- Do not re-use the bearing assembly of your TOYOTA AVENSIS Estate (T25) car.
- The wheel hub bearing replacement procedure is identical for both wheels on the same axle.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: wheel bearing – TOYOTA AVENSIS Estate (T25). Take the following steps:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.
- Step 2Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #21.
- Step 3Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.Step 4Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. TOYOTA AVENSIS Estate (T25)
- Step 5Remove the wheel.
- Step 6Clean the brake drum. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 7Remove the brake drum.Replacement: wheel bearing – TOYOTA AVENSIS Estate (T25). AUTODOC experts recommend:Examine the brake drum. Replace it if necessary.
- Step 8Clean the wheel hub fastener. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 9Detach the ABS sensor connector. Use a flat screwdriver.
- Step 10Disconnect the ABS sensor wiring.
- Step 11Unscrew the hub bearing mounting. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench. Use a tap wrench.
- Step 12Remove the hub and the bearing together, since they are a sealed unit.
- Step 13Clean the hub bearing mounting seat. Use a wire brush.
- Step 14Install the new wheel hub with a bearing.
