- Do not re-use the bearing assembly of your PEUGEOT PARTNER Combispace (5F) car.
- The wheel hub bearing replacement procedure is identical for both wheels on the same axle.
- Please note: all work on the car – PEUGEOT PARTNER Combispace (5F) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the bonnet. Unscrew the brake fluid reservoir cap.Step 2Secure the wheels with chocks.
- Step 3Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #19.
- Step 4Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.Step 5Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. PEUGEOT PARTNER Combispace (5F)
- Step 6Remove the wheel.
- Step 7Remove the dust boot caps of the brake caliper guide pins. Use a flat screwdriver.
- Step 8.1Unscrew the brake caliper fasteners. Use HEX No.H7.Step 8.2Use a drive socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 9Remove the fastening bolts.Step 10Spread the brake pads. Use a crowbar.Step 11Remove the brake caliper.Replacement: wheel bearing – PEUGEOT PARTNER Combispace (5F). Professionals recommend:Tie the caliper to the suspension or to the body with a wire without disconnecting from the brake hose to prevent depressurization of the brake system.Make sure that the brake caliper is not hanging on the brake hose.Don't press the brake pedal after the brake caliper has been removed. As a result, the piston can fall out from the brake cylinder, and brake fluid leakage and depressurization of the system may occur.
- Step 12Clean the brake disc fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 13Unscrew the brake disc fasteners. Use Torx T30. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 14Remove the brake disc.
- Step 15Remove the hub bearing protection cap. Use a crowbar. Use a rubber mallet.
- Step 16Unstake the wheel hub retaining nut. Use a flat metal-working chisel. Use a hammer.
- Step 17Unscrew the wheel hub axle nut. Use a drive socket #41. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 18Remove the fastening nut.Step 19Remove the hub and the bearing together, since they are a sealed unit.
- Step 20Clean the wheel hub mounting seat. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 21Install the new wheel hub together with the bearing.
- Step 22Install the fastening nut.
- Step 23Tighten the hub. Use a drive socket #41. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 275 Nm torque.
