Replacement: wheel bearing – DACIA SANDERO II. AUTODOC experts recommend:
- Do not re-use the bearing assembly of your DACIA SANDERO II car.
- The wheel hub bearing replacement procedure is identical for both wheels on the same axle.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: wheel bearing – DACIA SANDERO II. Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1Open the bonnet. Unscrew the brake fluid reservoir cap.Step 2Secure the wheels with chocks.
- Step 3Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #19.
- Step 4Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.Step 5Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. DACIA SANDERO II
- Step 6Remove the wheel.
- Step 7Spread the brake pads. Use a crowbar.
- Step 8Clean the brake caliper fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 9Unscrew the brake caliper fastening. Use a combination spanner #15. Use a drive socket #13. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 10Remove the brake caliper.Replacement: wheel bearing – DACIA SANDERO II. AUTODOC recommends:Tie the caliper to the suspension or to the body with a wire without disconnecting from the brake hose to prevent depressurization of the brake system.Make sure that the brake caliper is not hanging on the brake hose.Don't press the brake pedal after the brake caliper has been removed. As a result, the piston can fall out from the brake cylinder, and brake fluid leakage and depressurization of the system may occur.
- Step 11Remove the brake pads. Use a crowbar.
- Step 12Clean the brake caliper bracket fasteners. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 13Unscrew the caliper bracket fastening. Use a drive socket #E16. Use a tap wrench.
- Step 14Remove the caliper bracket.
- Step 15Pry up and remove the wheel hub cap. Use a crowbar. Use a hammer.
- Step 16Unscrew the hub lock nut. Use a drive socket #30. Use a tap wrench.
- Step 17Remove the brake disc assemled with the wheel hub bearing.
- Step 18Install the brake disc assembled with the wheel hub bearing.
- Step 19Screw the wheel hub lock nut. Use a drive socket #30. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 175 Nm torque.
- Step 20Treat the hub where it contacts the brake disk. Use a multipurpose grease.
