Remove the wheel.
Step 6
Clean the shock absorber fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 7
Support the rear suspension beam. Use a hydraulic transmission jack.
Step 8
Unscrew the lower fastener of the shock absorber. Use a combination spanner #13. Use a drive socket #15. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 9
Unscrew the upper fastener of the shock absorber. Use a drive socket #13. Use a ratchet wrench.

Important! Hold the shock absorber while unscrewing the fastening bolts. Peugeot 307 SW
Step 10
Remove the fastening bolts.
Step 11
Remove the shock absorber.
Step 12
Grip the shock absorber in a vice.
Step 13
Clean the shock absorber rod fastener. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 14
Remove the shock absorber piston rod fastening. Use a shock absorber socket DD№6. Use a drive socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 15
Remove the shock absorber mount, boot and bump stop.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: shock absorbers – Peugeot 307 SW. Carefully inspect the mount, the boot, and the bump stop of the shock absorber. Replace if necessary.Before installing a new shock absorber you should pump it manually 3-5 times.
Step 16
Install the mount, boot and bump stop onto a new shock absorber.
Step 17
Tighten the shock absorber rod nut. Use a shock absorber socket DD№6. Use a drive socket #16. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 38 nm torque.
Step 18
Treat the shock absorber rod fastener. Use copper grease.
Step 19
Release the vice and take out the shock absorber.
Step 20
Clean the shock absorber mounting seats. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
Step 21
Treat the shock absorber mounting seats. Use copper grease.
Step 22
Place the shock absorber in the wheel arch and secure it.
To avoid injury, hold the shock absorber cautiously tight when screwing in the fastening bolts.
Step 23
Install the fastening bolts.
Step 24
Tighten the top shock absorber fastening. Use a drive socket #13. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 45 Nm torque.
Step 25
Raise the hydraulic transmission jack by 10-15 cm.
Step 26
Tighten the lower fastener of the shock absorber. Use a combination spanner #13. Use a drive socket #15. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 57 Nm torque.
Step 27
Remove the mounting from under the rear axle beam.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: shock absorbers – Peugeot 307 SW. Lower the transmission jack smoothly, without jerks, to avoid damaging components and mechanisms.
Step 28
Treat the shock absorber fasteners. Use copper grease.
Step 29
Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim. Use copper grease.
Step 30
Clean the brake disk surface. Use a brake cleaner.
Replacement: shock absorbers – Peugeot 307 SW. Tip from AUTODOC:
After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.
Step 31
Install the wheel.

Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 33
Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 100 Nm torque.
Step 34
Remove the jacks and chocks.
