                        Wheel chock

Replacement: anti roll bar links – AUDI A4 Convertible (8H7, B6, 8HE, B7). Professionals recommend:

Replace stabilizer links on AUDI A4 Convertible (8H7, B6, 8HE, B7) in pairs.
The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
Please note: all work on the car – AUDI A4 Convertible (8H7, B6, 8HE, B7) – should be done with the engine switched off.

Carry out replacement in the following order:

Step 1

Secure the wheels with chocks.
Step 2

Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 3

Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.
Step 4

Unscrew the wheel bolts.

Replacement: anti roll bar links – AUDI A4 Convertible (8H7, B6, 8HE, B7). AUTODOC recommends:
To avoid injury, hold up the wheel when unscrewing the bolts.
Step 5

Remove the wheel.
Step 6

Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.

Step 7

Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a combination spanner #16. Use a combination spanner #18.
Step 8

Remove the fastening bolt.

Step 9

Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer bar with the control arm. Use a drive socket #13. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 10

Remove the fastening bolts.

Step 11

Remove the stabilizer rod.

Replacement: anti roll bar links – AUDI A4 Convertible (8H7, B6, 8HE, B7). Tip:
Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed.
Step 12

Clean the mounting seats of the stabiliser link. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.

Step 13

Ιnstall the transverse stabilizer link.
Step 14

Install the fastening bolts.

Step 15

Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer bar with the control arm. Use a drive socket #13. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 25 Nm torque.
Step 16

Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the stabilizer bar. Use a combination spanner #16. Use a combination spanner #18. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 45 Nm torque.
Step 17

Treat all joints of the stabiliser link. Use copper grease.

Step 18

Treat the surface where the brake disc contacts the wheel rim. Use copper grease.
Step 19

Clean the wheel rim mounting seat. Use a brake cleaner.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: anti roll bar links – AUDI A4 Convertible (8H7, B6, 8HE, B7). After applying the spray, wait a few minutes.
Step 20

Install the wheel.

AUTODOC recommends:
Important! Hold the wheel while screwing in the fastening bolts. AUDI A4 Convertible (8H7, B6, 8HE, B7)
Step 21

Screw in the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
Step 22

Lower the car and working in a cross order, tighten the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 120 nm torque.
Step 23

Remove the jacks and chocks.
