How to change a rear ABS sensor on OPEL VIVARO A Van [AUTODOC TUTORIAL]

All the parts you need to replace – ABS Sensor for Vivaro A Combi (X83) and other OPEL models
Alternative products

Wire brush
WD-40 spray
All-purpose cleaning spray
Electronic spray
Torque wrench
T30 Torx bit
Ratchet wrench or power tool for removal/installation of threaded fasteners
Mounting lever
Slotted screwdriver
Wire bore brush drill attachment
Car lift or jack with jack stands, and wheel chocks
Replacement: ABS sensor – Opel Vivaro A van. AUTODOC recommends:
- All the work should be carried out with the ignition switched off.
Replacement: ABS sensor – Opel Vivaro A van. Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1
Raise the vehicle or place it over an inspection pit.Warning!If you are using a jack, make sure the car is parked on a hard, flat surface.Make sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands. - Step 2
Clean the ABS sensor fastener. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 3
Unscrew the ABS sensor fastener. Use a T30 Torx bit. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 4
Remove the fastening bolt. - Step 5
Remove the ABS sensor. Use a mounting lever. - Step 6.1
Detach the ABS sensor wiring.Step 6.2
Detach the vehicle connector from the ABS sensor connector.Step 6.3
Remove the ABS sensor connector from its mounting seat on the vehicle. Use a slotted screwdriver. - Step 7
Clean the ABS sensor mounting seat. Use a wire brush. Use an all-purpose cleaning spray. Use a wire bore brush drill attachment. - Step 8
Treat the vehicle connector of the ABS sensor. Use an electronic spray.
