Replacement: manual gearbox oil – VW POLO CLASSIC (6KV2). Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1Open the hood.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.AUTODOC recommends:The vehicle must be on even keel, and if it is at an angle, the drain plug must be at the lowest point.Step 4
Undo the fasteners of the oil pan lower cover. Use a drive socket #12. Use a Phillips screwdriver. - Step 5
Remove the oil pan cover. - Step 6.1
Clean the area around the gearbox housing filler hole.Step 6.2
Clean the area of the oil pan drainage hole. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 7
Put a waste oil container with at least 3 l capacity under the drainage hole. - Step 8
Unscrew the drain plug. Use HEX No.H17. - Step 9
Drain the used oil.Replacement: manual gearbox oil – VW POLO CLASSIC (6KV2). Professionals recommend:Caution! The oil may be hot. - Step 10
Unscrew the filler plug of the gearbox housing. Use HEX No.H17.
