Electronic spray
All-purpose cleaning spray
Torque wrench
HEX bit No.H5
Ratchet wrench
Fender cover

  • Please note: all work on the car – SEAT IBIZA III (6K1) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:

    Open the hood.

    Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.

    Remove the engine cover.

    Replacement: ignition coil – SEAT IBIZA III (6K1). Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.

    Clean the ignition coil bolts. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.

    Disconnect the spark plug wires from the ignition coil.

    Be careful to avoid damaging spark plug wires.Remember the position of the spark plug wires.

    Changing Ignition Coil on SEAT Ibiza III (6K1) 1.4 16V 2002 by yourself
    Detach the connector from the ignition coil.

    Unscrew the ignition coil bolts. Use HEX No.H5. Use a ratchet wrench.
