Replacement: ignition coil – SEAT EXEO (3R2). List of the tools you'll need:
Electronic spray
All-purpose cleaning spray
Torque wrench
HEX bit No.H5
Ratchet wrench
Fender cover
Replacement: ignition coil – SEAT EXEO (3R2). AUTODOC experts recommend:
  • The replacement procedure is the same for the ignition coils of all cylinders.
  • Please note: all work on the car – SEAT EXEO (3R2) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
  1. Step 1
    Open the hood.
    Step 2
    Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.

    Remove the engine cover.
    AUTODOC recommends:
    Replacement: ignition coil – SEAT EXEO (3R2). Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.

    Clean the ignition coil bolts. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.

    Disconnect the spark plug wires from the ignition coil.

    Be careful to avoid damaging spark plug wires.Remember the position of the spark plug wires.

    Changing Ignition Coil on SEAT Exeo Saloon (3R2) 1.8 TSI 2011 by yourself
    Detach the connector from the ignition coil.

    Unscrew the ignition coil bolts. Use HEX No.H5. Use a ratchet wrench.
