- The replacement procedure is identical for the right and left headlight.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: headlights – OPEL CORSA D Van. Recommended sequence of steps:
- Step 1Open the hood.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.Step 4
Unscrew the wheel arch cover fasteners. Use Torx T20. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 5
Move the part aside. - Step 6
Detach the connectors of the fog lights. - Step 7
Unscrew the lower fasteners of the bumper. Use Torx T25. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 8
Use the masking tape to prevent plastic and painted parts of the car from being damaged. - Step 9
Release the side clips of the bumper. - Step 10
Carefully release the bumper from the fasteners.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: headlights – OPEL CORSA D Van. Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it. - Step 11
Unscrew the upper fasteners of the bumper. Use a drive socket #8. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 12
Remove the bumper.AUTODOC recommends:Do not apply excessive force when removing the part. Otherwise you may damage it. - Step 13
Detach the parking sensor connectors. - Step 14
Unscrew the headlight fasteners. Use a drive socket #8. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 15
Remove the headlight.Replacement: headlights – OPEL CORSA D Van. AUTODOC recommends:Do not apply excessive force when removing the part. Otherwise you may damage it. - Step 16
Unplug the connectors of the headlight bulbs. Use a flat screwdriver. - Step 17
Detach the retainers and remove the bulbs from the headlight.Replacement: headlights – OPEL CORSA D Van. Tip:Avoid touching the bulb glass. The finger marks left on it may cause failure. - Step 18
Treat the connectors of the headlights. Use electronic spray. - Step 19
Install the bulbs into their mounting seats in the new headlight, and attach the retainers.Replacement: headlights – OPEL CORSA D Van. Tip from AUTODOC:Avoid touching the bulb glass. The finger marks left on it may cause failure. - Step 20
Plug in the connectors of the headlight bulbs. - Step 21
Install the new headlight.
