Replacement: fuel filter – VW Golf 4. AUTODOC recommends:
- Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: fuel filter – VW Golf 4. Take the following steps:
- Step 1Open the fuel door.
- Step 2Unscrew the fuel filler cap.
- Step 3Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.
- Step 4Detach the fuel filter fasteners. Use nippers.
- Step 5Prepare a container for fluids.
- Step 6Squeeze the clips and detach the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter housing. Use a flat screwdriver.Replacement: fuel filter – VW Golf 4. AUTODOC experts recommend:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
- Step 7Remove the fuel filter.

- Step 10Connect the fuel lines to the fuel filter and lock the fastening clips.
