All the parts you need to replace – Fuel Filter for CC (358) and other VW models
Replacement: fuel filter – VW CC (358). Tip from AUTODOC:
Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: fuel filter – VW CC (358). Use the following procedure:
Step 1
Open the bonnet.
Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
Step 4
Unscrew the fasteners of the fuel filter housing cover. Use Torx T15. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 5
Remove the fuel filter housing cover. Use a flat screwdriver.
Step 6
Remove the fuel filter. Use a flat screwdriver.
Replacement: fuel filter – VW CC (358). AUTODOC recommends:
Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
Step 7
Put the old filter cartridge in the container.
Step 8
Pump the fuel out of the fuel filter housing. Use a hand-operated fluid syringe.
Step 9
Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover.
Step 10
Install a new fuel filter.
Replacement: fuel filter – VW CC (358). Tip:
Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Attention! Use quality filters – VW CC (358).
Step 11
Install and tighten the cap of the fuel filter housing. Use Torx T15. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 12
Tighten the fasteners of the fuel filter housing cover. Use Torx T15. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 6 Nm torque.
Step 13
Connect the scan and service tool and set the fuel system to operating mode. This is necessary so that the fuel system fills completely with fuel.
Step 14
Switch on the ignition.
Step 15
Disconnect the scan and service tool.
Step 16
Run the engine for a few minutes. This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.
Step 17
Shut off the engine.
Step 18
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 19
Close the hood.
