Replacement: fuel filter – SEAT INCA (6K9). Tip from AUTODOC:
- Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
- Please note: all work on the car – SEAT INCA (6K9) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Remove the engine cover caps. Use a flat screwdriver.Step 4
Unscrew the engine cover fastener. Use a drive socket #10. - Step 5
Remove the engine cover.Replacement: fuel filter – SEAT INCA (6K9). AUTODOC experts recommend:Raise the engine cover, holding it on two sides simultaneously. - Step 6
Clean the fuel filter. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 7
Loosen the fastening clamps of the fuel filter pipes. Use hose clamp pliers with retainer. - Step 8
Detach the tubes from the fuel filter.Replacement: fuel filter – SEAT INCA (6K9). Tip from AUTODOC experts:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses. - Step 9
Loosen the fuel filter mounting. Use a Phillips screwdriver. - Step 10
Remove the fuel filter pipe retainer. - Step 11
Disconnect the pipe from the fuel filter. - Step 12
Remove the fuel filter. Put the old filter cartridge in the container. - Step 13
Install a new fuel filter.Replacement: fuel filter – SEAT INCA (6K9). Tip from AUTODOC:Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.SEAT INCA (6K9) – It's important to only use high-quality filters. - Step 14
Tighten the fuel filter fasteners. Use a Phillips screwdriver. - Step 15
Remove the o-rings. Use a flat screwdriver. - Step 16
Install new o-rings.
