How to change fuel filter SEAT LEON 1M1 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

WD-40 spray
All-purpose cleaning spray
Drive socket # 7
Ratchet wrench
Fuel line pliers
Fluid container
Replacement: fuel filter – Seat Leon 1M1. Tip from AUTODOC experts:
- Ensure adequate ventilation of the workplace. Fuel vapors are poisonous.
- Warning! Shut down the engine before starting any work – Seat Leon 1M1.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1
Open the fuel door. - Step 2
Unscrew the fuel filler cap. - Step 3
Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit. - Step 4
Clean the fuel filter mounting bracket. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 5
Prepare a container for fluids. - Step 6
Disconnect the parking brake cable. - Step 7
Loosen the fuel filter fasteners. Use a drive socket #7. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 8
Clean the fasteners of the fuel supply lines. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 9
Disconnect the fuel supply lines from the fuel filter. Use fuel line pliers.Replacement: fuel filter – Seat Leon 1M1. AUTODOC recommends:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses. - Step 10
Remove the fuel filter. - Step 11
Clean the fuel lines. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 12
Install a new fuel filter.AUTODOC recommends:Make sure that the fuel filter is positioned correctly. Consider the fuel flow direction mark.During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.
