- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: fuel filter – NISSAN ALMERA I (N15). Use the following procedure:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Slide the filter cover clips. Use a flat screwdriver.
- Step 4Take off the filter lid.
- Step 5Demount the air filter.
- Step 6Disconnect the crankcase ventilation hose from the air duct.Step 7Loosen the air intake fastening. Use a flat screwdriver.
- Step 8Detach the vacuum pipe. Use pliers.
- Step 9Unscrew the fuel filter bracket fixing bolts. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
- Step 10Remove the fuel filter together with its bracket.
- Step 11Clean the fasteners of the fuel supply lines. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.Step 12Loosen the fastening clamps of the fuel filter pipes. Use pliers.
- Step 13Detach the tubes from the fuel filter.Replacement: fuel filter – NISSAN ALMERA I (N15). AUTODOC experts recommend:Be careful! Fuel may leak from the filter housing and hoses.
- Step 14Unscrew the lower cap of the fuel filter.
- Step 15Remove the fuel filter.
- Step 16Put the old filter cartridge in the container.
- Step 17Clean the fuel filter housing and the cover. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 18Install a new fuel filter.Replacement: fuel filter – NISSAN ALMERA I (N15). Professionals recommend:During installation, take care to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the fuel filter housing.Take care to only use quality filters.
- Step 19Remove the rubber strip. Use a flat screwdriver.
