How to change front brake disc and pads set on MERCEDES W210 [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

AUTODOC recommends:
- Replace the brake disks on the car Mercedes W210 in complete set for each axis. Regardless of the state of components. This will ensure even braking.
- The replacement procedure is identical for both brake disks on the same axle.
- When changing the brake discs, always replace the brake pads.
- Please note: all work on the car – Mercedes W210 – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.
- Step 2Unscrew the brake fluid reservoir cap.
- Step 3Secure the wheels with chocks.Step 4Loosen the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17. Use a tap wrench.
- Step 5Raise the car.Replacement: brake discs – Mercedes W210. AUTODOC recommends:If you are using a jack, make sure it rests on a flat surface without any unevenness.Be sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands.
- Step 6Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. Mercedes W210
- Step 7Remove the wheel.
- Step 8Detach the brake caliper retaining spring. Use a crowbar.
- Step 9Disconnect the brake pad wear sensor. Use long nose pliers.
- Step 10Spread the brake pads. Use a crowbar.
- Step 11Remove the caps from the brake caliper guide pin boots. Use a crowbar.
- Step 12Unscrew the brake caliper fasteners. Use HEX No.H7. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 13Remove the brake caliper.AUTODOC recommends:Tie the caliper to the suspension or to the body with a wire without disconnecting from the brake hose to prevent depressurization of the brake system.Make sure that the brake caliper is not hanging on the brake hose.Don't press the brake pedal after the brake caliper has been removed. As a result, the piston can fall out from the brake cylinder, and brake fluid leakage and depressurization of the system may occur.
- Step 14Remove the brake pads.
- Step 15Clean the brake caliper bracket fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 16Unscrew the brake caliper bracket fasteners. Use a drive socket #18. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 17Remove the fastening bolts.
- Step 18Remove the brake caliper bracket.
- Step 19Clean the brake disc fastener. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 20Unscrew the brake disc fasteners. Use HEX No.H5. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 21Remove the fastening bolt.Step 22Remove the brake disc.
- Step 23Clean the wheel hub. Use a wire brush.
- Step 24Treat the contacting surface. Use ceramic grease.Step 25Install a new brake disc.
- Step 26Install the fastening bolt.
- Step 27Tighten the brake disc fasteners. Use HEX No.H5. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 10 Nm torque.
- Step 28Clean the brake caliper bracket of dirt and dust. Use a wire brush. Use a brake cleaner.
