Wire brush
WD-40 spray
Brake cleaner
Copper grease
Torque wrench
Combination spanner #18
Drive socket # 18
XZN socket bit # 6
Wheel impact socket #17
Ratchet wrench
Wheel chock

  • Replace the stabiliser links on VW TOURAN in pairs.
  • The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
  • Please note: all work on the car – VW TOURAN – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
  1. Step 1
    Secure the wheels with chocks.

    Raise the front of the car and secure on supports.

    Unscrew the wheel bolts.

    Remove the wheel.

    Changing Anti Roll Bar Links on VW Touran (5T1) 1.2 TSI 2018 by yourself
    Clean all joints of the stabiliser link. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
  5. Step 7

    Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the shock strut. Use a drive socket #18. Use a ratchet wrench.

    Tighten the fastener connecting the stabilizer link to the shock strut. Use a combination spanner #18. Use a drive socket #18. Use XZN #6. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 55 Nm torque.
