Replacement: engine oil and filter – RENAULT TWINGO I Box (S06_). AUTODOC experts recommend:
- Replace the oil filter every time when changing motor oil.
- Wear gloves to prevent contact with hot liquid.
- Please note: all work on the car – RENAULT TWINGO I Box (S06_) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the hood.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Pull up the oil dipstick.
- Step 4Unscrew the oil filler plug.
- Step 5Lift the car using a jack or place it over an inspection pit.Replacement: engine oil and filter – RENAULT TWINGO I Box (S06_). AUTODOC experts recommend:The vehicle must be on even keel, and if it is at an angle, the drain plug must be at the lowest point.Step 6Put a waste oil container with at least 5 l capacity under the drainage hole.
- Step 7Clean the area of the oil pan drainage hole. Use a wire brush. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.Step 8Unscrew the drain plug. Use square oil drain plug socket No.8 Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 9Drain the used oil.Replacement: engine oil and filter – RENAULT TWINGO I Box (S06_). Tip:Caution! The oil may be hot.Wait until the oil has completely drained from the drainage hole.
- Step 10Unscrew the oil filter. Use the 76/12-F socket. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 11Clean the oil filter seat. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 12Lubricate the rubber seal of the new filter with a little amount of fresh oil.
- Step 13Screw the new filter into its place. Use the 74/15-F socket. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 20 nm torque.
- Step 14Clean the area of the oil pan drainage hole. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 15Screw in the new drainage plug and tighten it. Use square oil drain plug socket No.8 Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 28 nm torque.
- Step 16Clean the area of the oil pan drainage hole. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
