Replacement: air filter – VW Golf VIII Schrägheck (CD1). Tip from AUTODOC:
Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the part operation provided by the manufacturer.
Please note: all work on the car – VW Golf VIII Schrägheck (CD1) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
Step 1
Open the bonnet.
Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Disconnect the crankcase breather hose from the air filter housing.
Step 4
Disconnect the vacuum hose from the air filter housing.
Step 5
Undo the fastening screws of the air filter cover.Use Torx T25.Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 6
Take off the filter lid.
Step 7
Remove the filter element from the filter housing.
Step 8
Cover the air intake hose with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the system.
Step 9
Clean the air filter cover and housing.
Step 10
Remove the microfibre towel from the air intake hose.
Step 11
Insert a new filter element into the filter housing.
Replacement: air filter – VW Golf VIII Schrägheck (CD1). Tip:
Make sure that the filter edge fits tight to the housing.Attention! Use quality filters – VW Golf VIII Schrägheck (CD1).During installation, make sure to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the air filter housing.
Step 12
Reinstall the air filter cover. Fasten it.
Step 13
Screw in the fastening screws of the air filter cover.Use Torx T25.Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 14
Connect the vacuum hose to the air filter housing.
Step 15
Connect the crankcase breather hose to the air filter housing.
Step 16
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 17
Close the hood.
