Replacement: air filter – VW Golf VIII Schrägheck (CD1). Tip from AUTODOC:
- Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the part operation provided by the manufacturer.
- Please note: all work on the car – VW Golf VIII Schrägheck (CD1) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3
Disconnect the crankcase breather hose from the air filter housing. - Step 4
Disconnect the vacuum hose from the air filter housing. - Step 5
Undo the fastening screws of the air filter cover. Use Torx T25. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 6
Take off the filter lid. - Step 7
Remove the filter element from the filter housing. - Step 8
Cover the air intake hose with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the system. - Step 9
Clean the air filter cover and housing. - Step 10
Remove the microfibre towel from the air intake hose.
