Replacement: air filter – SEAT EXEO ST (3R5). AUTODOC experts recommend:
- Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the part operation provided by the manufacturer.
- Please note: all work on the car – SEAT EXEO ST (3R5) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Unscrew the fasteners of the air distribution housing assembly. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
- Step 4Remove the air distribution housing assembly.
- Step 5Unplug the mass air flow sensor connector.
- Step 6Detach the air intake hose clamp. Use clic-R collar pliers.
- Step 7Disconnect the air intake pipe from the air filter housing.
- Step 8Cover the air intake hose with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the system.
- Step 9Undo the fastening screws of the air filter cover. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
- Step 10Slightly raise the cover of the air filter housing.
- Step 11Remove the filter element from the filter housing.
- Step 12Clean the air filter cover and housing.Replacement: air filter – SEAT EXEO ST (3R5). AUTODOC recommends:Before cleaning the air filter cover and housing, cover the air duct parts, mass airflow sensor (if available), throttle valve with a clean cloth.
- Step 13Insert a new filter element into the filter housing. Make sure that the filter edge fits tight to the housing.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: air filter – SEAT EXEO ST (3R5). Be sure to position the filtering element correctly. Avoid misalignment.Take care to only use quality filters.During installation, make sure to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the air filter housing.
- Step 14Reinstall the air filter cover. Fasten it.Replacement: air filter – SEAT EXEO ST (3R5). Tip from AUTODOC experts:Do not apply excessive force when installing the part. Otherwise you may damage the fasteners.
