How to change air filter on PEUGEOT 308 I [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]
All the parts you need to replace – Air Filter for 308 I Hatchback (4A_, 4C_) and other PEUGEOT models
Replacement: air filter – Peugeot 308 I. AUTODOC recommends:
Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the part operation provided by the manufacturer.
Warning! Shut down the engine before starting any work – Peugeot 308 I.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
Step 1
Open the bonnet.
Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
Step 3
Unscrew the fasteners of the brake fluid reservoir (2 pieces). Use Torx T20.
Step 4
Remove the brake fluid reservoir. Move it aside.
Step 5
Unscrew the clamp and fasteners on the air filter intake pipe. Use a combination spanner #7.
Step 6
Undo the fastening screws of the air filter cover (3 pieces). Use Torx T25. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 7
Disconnect the air intake pipe from the air filter housing.
Step 8
Take off the filter lid.
Step 9
Remove the filter element from the filter housing.
Step 10
Clean the air filter cover and housing.
Replacement: air filter – Peugeot 308 I. Tip from AUTODOC:
Before cleaning the air filter cover and housing, cover the air duct parts, mass airflow sensor (if available), throttle valve with a clean cloth.
Step 11
Insert a new filter element into the filter housing. Make sure that the filter edge fits tight to the housing.
Replacement: air filter – Peugeot 308 I. Professionals recommend:
Check out the correct location of the filter element. Do not skew.Take care to only use quality filters.During installation, make sure to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the air filter housing.
Step 12
Reinstall the air filter cover. Fasten it.
Step 13
Screw in the fastening screws of the air filter cover (3 pieces). Use Torx T25. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 14
Connect the air intake pipe to the air filter housing.
Step 15
Tighten the clamp and fasteners on the air filter intake pipe. Use a combination spanner #7.
Step 16
Install the brake fluid reservoir.
Step 17
Tighten the brake fluid reservoir fasteners (2 pieces). Use Torx T20.
Step 18
Remove the fender protection cover.
Step 19
Close the hood.
