Replacement: air filter – AUDI CABRIOLET (8G7, B4). AUTODOC experts recommend:
- Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the part operation provided by the manufacturer.
- Please note: all work on the car – AUDI CABRIOLET (8G7, B4) – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
- Step 1Open the hood.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.Step 3Remove the air filter housing cover.AUTODOC recommends:Replacement: air filter – AUDI CABRIOLET (8G7, B4). Do not use excessive force when removing the part as this may damage it.
- Step 4Unscrew the fasteners of the air distribution housing assembly. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
- Step 5Remove the air distribution housing assembly.
- Step 6Detach the mass air flow sensor connector.
- Step 7Release the air filter cover clips.
- Step 8Slightly raise the cover of the air filter housing.
- Step 9Remove the filter element from the filter housing.
- Step 10Cover the air intake hose with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the system.
- Step 11Clean the air filter cover and housing.Replacement: air filter – AUDI CABRIOLET (8G7, B4). Tip from AUTODOC:Before cleaning the air filter cover and housing, cover the air duct parts, mass airflow sensor (if available), throttle valve with a clean cloth.
- Step 12Remove the microfibre towel from the air intake hose.
- Step 13Insert a new filter element into the filter housing. Make sure that the filter edge fits tight to the housing.Replacement: air filter – AUDI CABRIOLET (8G7, B4). AUTODOC recommends:Check out the correct location of the filter element. Do not skew.Attention! Use quality filters – AUDI CABRIOLET (8G7, B4).During installation, make sure to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the air filter housing.
