Move aside the mirror at the bottom
A small bolt is unscrewed under an asterisk
    Take off the turn signal

Nice one, had to do this last week. Just to add, make sure you have a magnetic screwdriver or at least magnetize the tip. That little torx screw loves to fall down inside the mirror housing and then you're fishing for ages.

I did this on my 2016 Master a couple of months back after failng the MOT on a white indicator light. The orange coating on the bulb had completely peeled off, classic issue.
It is definitely a T10 Torx you need. I tilted the mirror glass all the way in towards the van window which opens up a gap on the outer edge. You really need a long, thin screwdriver to reach it though. I used my Wera kraftform drivers which are thin enough, but some of the chunky bit holders won't fit in that gap without rubbing against the glass.
Once that screw is out, there's a small plastic tab you have to gently pry. The whole clear lens unit just slides forward. I replaced my bulbs with Osram Diadem Chrome ones because they look silver when off but flash amber, gets rid of that "fried egg" look in the clear lens. Just be careful re-tightening that screw, it's only going into plastic so don't crank it or you'll strip the thread.

@[ brown ] No! Do not try to pry the glass off unless you absolutely have to. I tried that on my old Traffic and snapped the clips immediately. Just tilt it fully using the electric adjustment (or push it by hand if it's manual) and you'll see the screw head peeking out. Flashlight helps.

Yeah don't pop the glass. I made that mistake on a freezing cold morning and the glass just shattered in my hand. 70 quid for a heated replacement from the dealer. Just angle it

@PP.Williams is right about the screwdriver thickness. I tried using a multi-bit driver and the shaft was too thick to get a straight angle on the screw head. Ended up stripping the head slightly because I was coming in at an angle. Had to go buy a proper set of long torx drivers from Halfords just for this one job.

had a nightmare with this on my work van. The lens was cracked so water got in and corroded the contacts.
I bought a cheap replacement lens online first, think it was TYC brand or something similar. It didn't fit flush at all, left a massive gap for rain to get in. Ended up sending it back and getting a Magneti Marelli one which fitted perfectly.
If you're just changing the bulb, check the holder itself isn't green with corrosion. I used a bit of electrical contact cleaner and a small wire brush to clean mine up before putting the new bulb in. Also, put a tiny dab of silicone grease on the rubber seal when you put it back, helps stop the moisture getting back in.

@PP.Williams those Osram bulbs, are they the WY5W wedge type or the bigger ones? I've got a bag of Bosch 501s in the garage, wondering if they fit.

@T-Jackson pretty sure the mirror indicators on the Master use the W16W (921) bulbs, they're bigger than the standard 501/W5W sidelight bulbs. The 501s will fit in the hole but they won't be bright enough and might fall out. Stick to the proper spec.

@lee____white cheers for the heads up on the cheap lenses. mine is cracked too (white van man problems lol) so I'll avoid the unbranded ones.

Just a heads up if anyone is doing this in winter - warm up the plastic a bit first if you can. The little retaining clips on the indicator housing are super brittle when it's near freezing. I snapped the tab off mine just trying to slide it out. A hair dryer for 2 mins makes a huge difference.

@MW good tip. snapped mine last year in the snow. zip ties to the rescue until the new part arrived.

@WaaaaaynE is correct, it's definitely a W16W. I just swapped mine for Philips LEDs because I was sick of changing them. Just be aware you might get a "fast flash" on the dashboard if you don't get canbus compatible ones. The Master electrical system can be a bit fussy with LEDs in the indicators.

@SimLew I put a blob of blu-tack on the end of my screwdriver now. Holds the screw better than the magnet sometimes especially if it's a stainless screw.
