Wet belt recall

Hello 

I have a c3 aircross 2018 around 40k

Took car into Citroen for recall and MOT. Been having oil light issues (along with the other 500000 people)

There is an orange spanner on the dash. Citroen rang to say Bad news they can’t do the recall because the fault is a low oil pressure warning and they need to charge 3 hours to check this first? And they need to see detailed service history? My understanding is that this is a safety recall not a warranty issue so why are they trying to make me pay 3 hrs to presumably tell me it’s all my fault and get me to pay for the recall fault!

Any advice?? I just want the recall that dvsa has told me I need not to pay 500£ at Christmas!
