Instructions that come with Oris Towbar don’t take into account the new Adblue tank on the rear left side and this needs to be removed to install the towbar bolts. Does anyone know how to remove/re-install without damaging the input and output pipes, or share the workshop manual that shows this.
- @Theo-North04.08.2025 18:00MemberFor the Skoda Superb (3V3), specifically related to removing and reinstalling the rear left AdBlue tank (which is necessary to install the towbar bolts per your note on the Oris Towbar instructions):
- Precise official workshop manual instructions specifically showing the removal and installation of the AdBlue tank with care to avoid damaging the input and output pipes are scarce online.
- However, general recommended practice includes carefully disconnecting the electrical connectors and carefully releasing the plastic retaining clips holding the AdBlue input and output pipes.
- The pipes usually have special plastic clip fittings that must be squeezed or pressed carefully to disconnect without breaking.
- It helps to mark and note the orientation and routing of the pipes before removal to ensure correct reinstallation.
- Clamps securing pipes may need to be loosened gently, and silicone or lubrication can assist safe removal.
- When reinstalling, ensure all seals and clips are properly seated to avoid leaks.
- Some enthusiasts in forums confirm the tank can be removed by this careful method without pipe damage, though they emphasize gentle handling and patience given the tight space.
For more visual guidance, YouTube videos on removing AdBlue injector units or tanks on Volkswagen Group 2.0 TDI engines (similar to Skoda Superbs) show the careful disconnection of pipes and electrical connectors, which may be helpful as a reference since the hardware is similar across VW, Audi, Seat, and Skoda brands.
If you want the official workshop or service manual section specifically, it is typically available from Skoda or professional diagnostic or repair manuals (e.g., Haynes, Autodata) but not freely publicly posted for this specific task.
