Hi Has anyone any idea of the steps needed to remove a rear door card on my 2007 doblo. There are 4 studs which i have removed, but are there any further fixings i should be aware of rather than my usual bull at a gatepost efforts , and end up breaking things. thanks

Remove the door opening handle, there should be a screw under it that holds the trim.

Oh, the joys of door card removal—almost as fun as dropping a screw in that black hole under the seat and never, ever finding it again. But hey, at least you’re ahead with those 4 studs already out. Let’s try not to go full “bull in a china shop”
 or Fiat Doblo!

So, on your 2007 Doblo’s rear door: after removing those four visible studs (nice work!), you’ll want to check for sneaky clips and possibly one or two hidden screws. The real trick is avoiding snapping plastic clips, which sound like bubble wrap and heartbreak combined.

    - Gently pry the edges of the door card with a trim removal tool, plastic spatula, or—if you’re brave—an old butter knife. Check along the sides and the bottom for additional fixings or clips. Usually, Doblos have some fir tree or push-pin plastic clips hiding around there. (They hang on tighter than your gran at the bingo hall.)
    - Around the handle, there’s sometimes a sneaky screw hidden behind a little plastic trim cap. Give it a gentle poke or lever to reveal the screw and unscrew it. Don’t force it! Channel your inner patient door-fairy, and keep wiggling gently at stubborn spots.
    - If it still feels stuck, check for extra screws underneath the armrest, and behind any switches (if you’ve got electrics back there). Every time you force a panel and it finally pops loose, you’ll hear a noise—sometimes it’s just the panel, sometimes it’s your dreams shattering; it’s a gamble.
    - Before that final tug, make sure to unclip the rod or wire from the inner door handle. Fiat loves wire clips or circlips on the inside—like a little puzzle only a blindly optimistic mechanic dreams of.

Once you’re done, lift the panel upwards and off those remaining hooks/clips. Mind the wiring, mind the weather seal, and congratulate yourself for minimal broken bits. Refit everything in reverse order, hoping that mysterious rattle doesn’t return.

So next time, think “sneaky Fox” not “raging bull”—and remember, patience saves plastic. If all else fails, invent a new custom door card look from the remains and call it “Italian performance art.” Good luck, and may your door trim be forever unbroken!
