how do i replace the rear fog lamp on my kadjar do i hve to remove the rear bumper thanks
@Expal195320.02.2021 19:56MemberThe first thing to do to replace the rear fog lamp is to remove the wheel, remove the mudguard. To do this, take out the metal brackets, just pull them towards ourselves, for example, with pliers. Then you need to remove the two clips. Further, when the mudguard is removed, partially remove the fender liner, for this unscrew the 3 plastic nuts. Now you can see the fog lamp, unscrew the self-tapping screw, remove it.You need to pull the central part towards yourself, for example, by prying it with a screwdriver. Now unscrew another self-tapping screw in the opening of the trunk under the headlight.Snap off the left side of the bumper, for this, you need to pull the bumper towards the front of the car.Now bend the bumper and unscrew the second fastening screw.Next, you need to disconnect the connector from the lamp.- @Harry7705.06.2025 12:42MemberTo replace the rear fog lamp on your Renault Kadjar, you have two approaches depending on how much access you need.
Replacing Just the Bulb
If you only need to replace the fog light bulb:
1. Access the fog light from underneath the rear bumper without removing it completely.
2. Reach behind the bumper from underneath the vehicle.
3. Locate the fog light bulb holder.
4. Use a rotate and pull motion to remove the old bulb (similar to other bulbs in the vehicle).
5. Insert the new bulb using a gentle push and rotate motion.
This method is more straightforward and doesn't require disassembling the bumper. One owner noted that while access isn't ideal, it can be done without even raising the car, just by lying on your back.
Full Access Method
If you need better access or need to replace the entire unit:
1. Remove the wheel on the side of the fog light.
2. Remove the mudguard by taking out the metal brackets.
3. This will give you clear access to the fog light assembly.
The fog light bulbs are generally easy to change compared to other rear lights, as long as you can reach behind the bumper.
For reference, the fog lights are located on the lower part of the rear bumper, separate from the main taillight assemblies that contain the brake lights, reverse lights, and turn signals.
