Qashqai ac compressor issue NISSAN Qashqai II (J11) (11.2013 - ...)

@Graziana Venturi09.07.2025 17:25@user_3746938AUTODOC expertThis is very annoying! If after replacing the compressor the air conditioner still does not cool, and the Auto system behaves erratically, the problem is most likely in the failure of the climate control system.
The most likely causes:
1. Incorrect filling / Freon leak: The system may have been incorrectly filled or has an unrepaired leak. This affects the pressure and operation of the compressor.
2. Malfunction of the freon pressure sensor: A very common cause. It can give incorrect readings, due to which the compressor does not turn on correctly.
3. Malfunction of the temperature sensors (cabin, evaporator).
4. Electrical problems: Blown fuses / relays or poor contacts after repair.
5. Malfunction of the radiator cooling fan: If it does not work, the system overheats.
What to do:
* Insist on a full computer diagnostics at a service that can check the freon pressure, readings of all sensors and fan operation in real time.
* Contact the service that installed the compressor. Perhaps the error was made there.
Your symptoms are very similar to a problem with the freon pressure sensor or improper filling/leakage.

My a/c stopped blowing cold last year. Garage diagnosed it as needing a new ac compressor. Had one fitted and nothing has changed. Blows air but warm or hot depending on heat outside when I hit Auto on Lo setting it immediately goes to max level and immediately auto cuts out and back to middle level. This stopped just after compressor was fitted but happening again now. Pure nightmare having paid nearly 1k and now referred to nissan for another diag next month. At a total loss. Any experience with this? Im not a mechanic but can test a few things if recommended. Ie fuses/relays filters etc. Actuator is unreachable for me behind dash i think
