Looking for honest MG ZS reviews MG ZS Off-Road (10.2017 - ...)
- @L.💂💂💂14.04.2025 08:23MemberHey there! I've been considering the MG ZS as well, so I'm really glad you started this thread. I'd love to hear from any current owners about their experiences with the car.
- @lee____white18.04.2025 12:11MemberHi there! I bought a used MG ZS about 6 months ago and have been really happy with it so far. The main thing I'd say to watch out for is the condition of the interior - these cars can sometimes show a bit of wear and tear, especially on the upholstery and infotainment system. Make sure to inspect those areas closely when you're looking at used models.
- @musiclover524.04.2025 06:45MemberI can second that. I've had my MG ZS for just over a year now and the interior has held up pretty well, but I have noticed a few small issues creeping in. The touchscreen on the infotainment system can be a bit temperamental at times and I've had to reset it a few times. Nothing major, but something to keep an eye on.
- @Theo-North29.04.2025 15:43MemberThanks for the feedback, that's really helpful! What about mechanical issues - have you had any problems with things like the engine, transmission, or suspension?
- @lee____white12.05.2025 09:50MemberMechanically, I haven't had any major problems with my MG ZS. The engine has been reliable and the transmission has shifted smoothly. The only thing I'd say is that the suspension can feel a bit on the firm side, especially over rougher roads. It's not uncomfortable, but it's something to be aware of.
- @musiclover512.05.2025 10:16MemberI'd agree with that. The suspension is definitely one of the more noticeable aspects of the MG ZS. It's not bad by any means, but you can tell it's tuned more for sporty handling than pure comfort. I haven't had any issues with it, but it's something to test out thoroughly when you're test driving.
- @Theo-North12.05.2025 11:24MemberOkay, great to know. And what about the overall build quality and reliability? Is there anything that's stood out as potentially problematic?
- @lee____white12.05.2025 11:31MemberIn terms of build quality, I'd say it's pretty good overall, but there are a few areas where you can tell corners have been cut a bit. The plastics used in the interior, for example, aren't quite up to the standard of some of the more premium brands. That said, everything has held up well for me so far.
- @musiclover513.05.2025 05:25MemberI'd agree with that assessment. The build quality isn't quite on the level of, say, a Volkswagen, but it's still decent. And in my experience, the reliability has been pretty good too. I haven't had any major issues or breakdowns to report.
- @Theo-North13.05.2025 05:46MemberThat's really reassuring to hear. Sounds like as long as you do your due diligence and inspect the car thoroughly, the MG ZS can be a solid used buy. Thanks so much for sharing your experiences, it's been really helpful!
- @lee____white13.05.2025 08:39MemberYou're very welcome! I'm glad I could provide some useful insights. If you do end up going for an MG ZS, I hope you have as positive an experience as I've had. Let us know how it goes!
- @Theo-North13.05.2025 08:45MemberAbsolutely, and feel free to reach out if you have any other questions as you're looking into it. We're always happy to share more of our experiences with the car.
Hi all,
I’m thinking of buying a used MG ZS, but I’d really like to get some honest reviews first. Are there any common issues or dealbreakers I should be watching out for? Any input from owners would be brilliant.
Thanks in advance.
