I heard a banging noise from underneath the car, which I thought might be a suspension problem. I called the AA out and then said it was due to a worn part under the rear passenger side of the car. They’ve removed the part, which they can’t replace because they can’t identify it to get a replacement, but have told me it’s not essential and that the car’s safe to drive.
Can anyone help me identify the part they’ve removed please, so I can decide whether it needs replacing?
