Has anyone changed a brake master cylinder or vacuum booster on Scion IA aka Mazda 2 aka Yaris IA MAZDA 2 Saloon (DL) (01.2015 - ...)
- @user_396015603.10.2025 00:51@user_3960156MemberOK, for anyone looking to do this job, it's not bad at all. The labor books give 3 1/2 hrs. plus bleeding plus plus...
All you do is remove battery and tray (disconnecting computer connections) lift out of the way. remove large vacuum line to booster. I was then able to access the master and brake lines. The booster involves the 4 nuts removed from the inside. remove pin linking to pedal. that's about it. I reinstalled new ones having bench bled the master. I leave the lines loosely threaded so that they drip for a bit. This usually results in escape of most of the air at the connection. I did not need to bleed at the wheel as a result. Took an hour.

Has anyone attempted or have instructions for changing the Master cylinder and booster on 2016 Scion IA/Yaris IA/Mazda 2?
