NISSAN Qashqai II (J11, J11_) 1.6 dCi@user_2345864 Mar 19, 2024MemberI want to change the glow plugs. 1- Do I need to disconnect the battery? 2- Does the engine need to be hot/warm to ease the thread? 3- Is it wise to use a penetrating oil to release the thread?Is it necessary to also replace the control unit?Only just having issues starting car in very cold weather.Please advise.Thanks

20.03.24 - @Mearronsid Mar 20, 2024MemberOn my car when replacing glow plugs I removed the terminal from the battery, the replacement was made not on a hot but on a warm engine, I used penetrating oil but I do not know whether it was correct or not.Reply
