Heyooo, so you wanna fit a front ABS sensor on your Megane RS 265? Not too wild—this is one of those jobs you can do at home (with a bit of patience and maybe a coffee
or three). You don't need a degree in wizardry, but your knuckles might hate you for a bit!

    Here’s the “non-boring” step-by-step:
    - Jack up your Megane (handbrake on! Safety!).
    - Take the wheel off (look, your brakes! Now’s a good time to admire them. Or not).
    - You’ll need to peel back or pop off the plastic wheel arch liner—just enough to follow the ABS sensor cable. It's clipped every few inches, like it’s trying to hide from you.
    - Find where the sensor plugs in—make sure you unclip it gently. Take a pic with your phone first so you don’t forget how it routes (learned this the hard way
 mine looked like spaghetti after).
    - CAREFULLY pull the actual sensor out of its little metal bracket near the driveshaft—don’t bend that bracket or you’ll be swearing in French.
    - Plug your shiny new sensor in, route the cable the same as the old one (or you risk playing cable-Tetris when putting the liner back).
    - Clip it in place, push the sensor into the bracket, make everything look neat, put the liner and wheel back, lower her down.
    - Test drive! If your dash lights up like a disco, check the connections again. And, you know, celebrate if everything works.

Pro tip: comparing the new and old sensor is always a good idea so you don’t end up trying to fit a baguette into a USB slot.

Enjoy! Your Megane won’t mind you getting a bit greasy for her.
