How to change pollen filter / cabin filter on VOLVO V70 2 (SW) [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]
All the parts you need to replace – Pollen Filter for V70 II (285) and other VOLVO models
Replace the cabin filter at least once every six months, in early spring and autumn seasons.
Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the part operation provided by the manufacturer.
If the air flow into the cabin has sharply reduced, replace the filter before a scheduled maintenance.
Please note: all work on the car – Volvo V70 SW – should be done with the engine switched off.
Carry out replacement in the following order:
Step 1
Move the passenger seat fully backwards.
Step 2
Unscrew the fasteners of the passenger side kick panel. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 3
Remove the protective cover under the glove box. Use a plastic trim tool.
Step 4
Unscrew the fasteners of the cabin filter housing cover. Use Torx T20. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 5
Remove the cabin filter housing cover.
Step 6
Remove the cabin filter.
Replacement: pollen filter – Volvo V70 SW. Tip:
Do not attempt to clean and reuse the filter - it will affect the quality of air cleaning inside the car.
Step 7
Install the cabin filter to its mounting seat.

Step 8
Reinstall the cabin filter housing cover.
Step 9
Screw in the fasteners of the cabin filter housing cover. Use Torx T20. Use a ratchet wrench.
Step 10
Install and secure the protective cover under the glove box.
AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: pollen filter – Volvo V70 SW. Do not use excessive force during installation. This may damage the fasteners.
Step 11
Screw in the fasteners of the passenger side kick panel. Use a Phillips screwdriver.
Step 12
Return the passenger seat to its initial position.
Step 13
Switch on the ignition.
Step 14
Switch on the air conditioning system. This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.
Step 15
Switch off the ignition.
