How to change spark plug on VW CADDY 3 (2KB) [TUTORIAL AUTODOC]

Replacement: spark plugs – VW Caddy 3 Kombi. AUTODOC experts recommend:

- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: spark plugs – VW Caddy 3 Kombi. Use the following procedure:
- Step 1
Open the hood. - Step 2
Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car. - Step 3
Detach the crankcase ventilation hose from the engine cover at the left. - Step 4
Remove the engine cover. - Step 5
Cover the throttle body with a microfibre towel to prevent dust and dirt from getting into the system. - Step 6
Detach the crankcase ventilation hose from the oil filler neck. - Step 7
Unscrew the oil filler neck. Remove the oil filler neck. - Step 8
Cover the oil filler opening with a microfibre towel to prevent dirt and foreign objects from getting into the system. - Step 9
Pry up the ignition coil. Use a crowbar. Use a flat screwdriver. - Step 10
Undo the plastic locking tabs of the ignition coil connector. Use a flat screwdriver. - Step 11
Take out the ignition coil from the spark plug well.Replacement: spark plugs – VW Caddy 3 Kombi. AUTODOC experts recommend:Remember the sequence of steps for ignition coil demounting. - Step 12
Clean dirt, dust and debris from inside the spark plug wells. - Step 13
Unscrew the spark plugs. Use the spark plug socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 14
Take out the spark plugs. Use a telescoping magnet. - Step 15
Apply a thin layer of a special high temperature anti-seize lubricant to the threads of the new spark plugs. Treat the surface of the terminals of the new spark plugs. Use electronic spray. - Step 16
Install the new spark plugs into their mounting seats. - Step 17
Screw new spark plugs and tighten them. Use the spark plug socket #16. Use a torque wrench. Tighten it to 25 nm torque.Replacement: spark plugs – VW Caddy 3 Kombi. AUTODOC recommends:Be careful when working with a spark plug wrench. Its skewing can cause damage to the threaded connection.Don't tighten the plugs with excessive force. Exceeding tightening torque can damage the thread connection.
