Replacement: serpentine belt – MERCEDES-BENZ T1/TN Box Body / Estate. AUTODOC recommends:
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: serpentine belt – MERCEDES-BENZ T1/TN Box Body / Estate. Take the following steps:
- Step 1Open the bonnet.Step 2Use a fender protection cover to prevent damaging paintwork and plastic parts of the car.
- Step 3Unscrew the fastening bolt of the belt tensioner. Use a combination spanner #16 (2 pieces).
- Step 4Use a lever of the correct diameter to loosen the tensioner and remove the fastening bolt. Use a 3/8" square drive extension bar.
- Step 5Remove the V-ribbed belt.AUTODOC recommends:Check the condition of the tensioner pulley and idler pulley. Replace them if necessary.
- Step 6Install the V-ribbed belt.Replacement: serpentine belt – MERCEDES-BENZ T1/TN Box Body / Estate. Professionals recommend:Make sure that the V-ribbed belt fits all pulleys snugly.
- Step 7Return the tensioner to its original position and install the fastening bolt. Use a 3/8" square drive extension bar.
