Replacement: wheel bearing – OPEL COMBO Box Body / Estate. AUTODOC recommends:
- Do not re-use the bearing assembly of your OPEL COMBO Box Body / Estate car.
- The wheel hub bearing replacement procedure is identical for both wheels on the same axle.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: wheel bearing – OPEL COMBO Box Body / Estate. Use the following procedure:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.
- Step 2Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #17.
- Step 3Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.Step 4Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. OPEL COMBO Box Body / Estate
- Step 5Remove the wheel.
- Step 6Clean the brake drum fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 7Unscrew the brake drum fastening Use Torx T30. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 8Remove the brake drum.Replacement: wheel bearing – OPEL COMBO Box Body / Estate. Tip:Examine the brake drum. Replace it if necessary.
- Step 9Remove the hub bearing protection cap. Use a crowbar. Use a hammer.Replacement: wheel bearing – OPEL COMBO Box Body / Estate. AUTODOC experts recommend:Some cars are not equipped with wheel hub caps.
- Step 10Unscrew the wheel hub axle nut. Use a drive socket #32. Use a tap wrench.
- Step 11Remove the fastening nut.
- Step 12Remove the hub and the bearing together, since they are a sealed unit.
- Step 13Clean the hub bearing mounting seat. Use a wire brush. Use all-purpose cleaning spray.
- Step 14Install the new wheel hub with a bearing.
- Step 15Install the fastening nut.
