Replacement: anti roll bar links – MERCEDES-BENZ A-CLASS (W169). AUTODOC recommends:
- Replace the stabiliser links on MERCEDES-BENZ A-CLASS (W169) in pairs.
- The replacement procedure is identical for both stabiliser links on the same axle.
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: anti roll bar links – MERCEDES-BENZ A-CLASS (W169). Use the following procedure:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.
- Step 2Loosen the wheel mounting bolts. Use wheel impact socket #H12.
- Step 3Raise the rear of the car and secure on supports.Step 4Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Important! Hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. MERCEDES-BENZ A-CLASS (W169)
- Step 5Remove the wheel.
- Step 6Clean the stabiliser link fasteners. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 7Unscrew the fastener connecting the stabilizer bar with the control arm. Use a combination spanner #16. Use a drive socket #16. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 8Unscrew the fasteners connecting the stabiliser link to the stabiliser bar. Use a combination spanner #16. Use a drive socket #8. Use a ratchet wrench.
- Step 9Remove the stabilizer rod.Replacement: anti roll bar links – MERCEDES-BENZ A-CLASS (W169). AUTODOC experts recommend:Examine stabiliser bushes. Replace them if needed.
- Step 10Clean the mounting seats of the stabiliser link. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray.
- Step 11Install a new rod, tighten the fasteners. Use a combination spanner #16. Use a drive socket #16. Use a drive socket #8.
