Replacement: ABS sensor – Honda Civic 8. AUTODOC recommends:
- All work should be done with the engine stopped.
Replacement: ABS sensor – Honda Civic 8. Take the following steps:
- Step 1Secure the wheels with chocks.Step 2
Loosen the wheel bolts. Use wheel impact socket #19. Use a tap wrench. - Step 3
Raise the car.Replacement: ABS sensor – Honda Civic 8. Tip:If you are using a jack, make sure it rests on a flat surface without any unevenness.Be sure to additionally secure the car with jack stands. - Step 4
Unscrew the wheel bolts.AUTODOC recommends:Warning! To avoid injury, hold the wheel while unscrewing the fastening bolts. Honda Civic 8 - Step 5
Remove the wheel. - Step 6
Disconnect the ABS sensor wiring. Use a clip removal tool. Use a flat screwdriver. - Step 7
Clean the ABS sensor connector. Use a nylon cleaning brush. - Step 8
Detach the ABS sensor connector. - Step 9
Clean the ABS sensor fastener. Use a wire brush. Use WD-40 spray. - Step 10
Unscrew the ABS sensor fastener. Use a drive socket #10. Use a ratchet wrench. - Step 11
Remove the fastening bolt. - Step 12
Remove the ABS sensor. Use long nose pliers. - Step 13
Clean the mounting seat of the ABS sensor. Use a wire brush. Use all-purpose cleaning spray. - Step 14
Treat the ABS sensor connector. Use dielectric grease. - Step 15
Treat the mounting seat of the ABS sensor. Use a multipurpose grease. - Step 16
Install the ABS sensor.
