Replacement: pollen filter – VW TIGUAN (AD1). AUTODOC recommends:

Replace the cabin filter at least once every six months, in early spring and autumn seasons.
Follow the terms, recommendations and requirements of the part operation provided by the manufacturer.
If the air flow into the cabin has sharply reduced, replace the filter before a scheduled maintenance.
Warning! Shut down the engine before starting any work – VW TIGUAN (AD1).

Carry out replacement in the following order:

Step 1

Move the passenger seat fully backwards.
Step 2

Unscrew the fasteners of the passenger side kick panel.
Step 3

Remove the protective cover under the glove box.
Step 4

Remove the cabin filter housing cover.
Step 5

Remove the cabin filter.

Replacement: pollen filter – VW TIGUAN (AD1). Tip from AUTODOC experts:
Do not attempt to clean and reuse the filter - it will affect the quality of air cleaning inside the car.
Step 6

Install the cabin filter to its mounting seat.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: pollen filter – VW TIGUAN (AD1). Be sure to position the filtering element correctly. Avoid misalignment.Follow the air flow direction arrow on the filter.
Step 7

Reinstall the cabin filter housing cover. Make sure you hear a click indicating that it is locked in place.
Step 8

Install and secure the protective cover under the glove box.

AUTODOC recommends:
Replacement: pollen filter – VW TIGUAN (AD1). Do not use excessive force during installation. This may damage the fasteners.
Step 9

Screw in the fasteners of the passenger side kick panel.
Step 10

Return the passenger seat to its initial position.

Step 11

Switch on the ignition.

Step 12

Switch on the air conditioning system. This is necessary in order to make sure that the component operates properly.

Step 13

Switch off the ignition.
